Front Tint Banner: Yes or No?

^^^ You didn't like your windows tinted, Scratch? Why not? I'm not trying to be a d-bag, just curious. I got mine tinted 35% in the front and 15% in the back and LOVE them. Wish I would've done it sooner.

I have had them done now three times on the P5, I would get them done, and not like it, so take it off, then miss it and put it back on, and hate it again...finally I just took it off...something about it...honestly not sure...just not really a fan...

Thanks, they are 17 x 7 Ace Mantas with Motegi center caps. The Ace center caps were cheapo plastic and broke. The Motegi ones are same shape/style but are much sturdier. Don't ask how I scored them, not sure anymore. I know I looked around for quite awhile. Funny how a lot of the newer Lexus, Hyundai Genesis Coupe and other higher end cars are doing similar split 5 spokes like these now days. These came on the car from the dealer when I bought it brand new in Jan 04. Not sure if Ace still makes them. Saw them in some tuner mag wheel ad page a year ago or so tho so maybe.........

I've heard you can actually tint the entire front windshield now. Or may that's just in Hawaii

yes in Hawaii can but it's a clear tint but blocks out the sun

have you tried tinting just the back windows and leaving the 2 front windows tintless? Just a thought.

I paid $150 total including taking off the old, poorly done, purple tint that the car had when i bought it.

I bought a small roll of professional tint and I'm having a guy I know do it... he use to work at a tint shop. Tint cost me $60 shipped and hes charging me "about" $100. From my understanding, shops around here charge around $250 and even more for hatchbacks.

Paid $140 at Superior Window Tint in West Allis for all 5 windows tinted 30%, didn't get the banner, but it's $30 extra. They do taillight tinting too.

how many inches is your banner? Looks great

Not sure, didn't measure. The center of the banner is right at the bottom of the rear-view mirror where it mounts to the windshield. If I remember, I'll measure it tomorrow.

Just measured... its 9" on the sides and about 6.75" in the middle. Might be a little excessive, but it would look weird if it didn't come past the rear-view mirror mount. Works for me (shrug)

looks good. i got the front tint banner on my 5, but not on the pro5.

i sit so far back in the protege, i dont think i need it there. but i love it on the 5. takes a little getting used to.

and i have 5% tint in the rear, and 20% on the front doors on both vehicles.

I'm knew to this whole forum thing... although i have visited many times before. I'm totally into all of this!!! The help and support you give each other is something to be proud of; and that alone was the reason why I joined. I have to say that I'm really digging Shi-Fu Jay. What you've done to that pro5 is awesome and thats just the exterior. I'm loving that banner!!!
