I NEED HELP FAST!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the front sway bar out of my 03 LX. I am trying to install a front MP3 sway but my car is half torn down and I cant get the front bar to come out? Please tell me I dont have to take the front control arms off.... But anyway Im stuck and really need help!!! THanks

if you don't know how to use the available resources to find out how to do it or how it is installed when looking at the car, then this is probably way over your head

helpful, isn't he?
:D

I'm pretty sure that you'll need to drop the whole sub-frame to install a front swaybar.

You don't have to drop the whole sub-frame all the way to the ground. Just remove the bolts that hold it to the frame as well as the bolts mounting the steering rack to it. If I remember correctly you shouldn't have to remove the lower A-arm from it. All you need is a couple of inches between the back of the sub-frame and the bottom of the car. You also have to twist the sway bar as you pull it out. You will definetly want an extra set of hands.

Good luck taking it off without dropping the subframe. It doesn't have to come off completely like mentioned above. On my ES, this was the only option. There was definitely no way I could snake the MP3 bar in there without unbolting the subframe.

*edit* I didn't have to take the control arms off.

Because I dont want to waste my time looking at your crap posts.. I didnt look into installing the bar before I started... OOPS .. big deal.. worse thing that happened I found out I couldn't take the subframe piece off where I was doing it at... Darn! Im a little ******* tired right now and this ******* pissed me off to no return.. Its not hard to unscrew a bunch of bolts, anyone can do it... I just didnt want to do it on jack stands in mikes parking garage and wanted to know if anyone knew another way...

To everyone else... Thanks for the usefull information. And If anyone is interested, I didnt take it out, because Ive been tired all week and became frustrated so I just bolted it back in its place and I'll deal with it another time..
