Hey. I just bought a 2000 Protege and It came with the factory CD player.. Now.. the front speakers werent working at all but I was going to change them anyways. I installed my CD player (not speakers yet) and the front speakers didnt work.. (Makes sense) I took my front speaker off my other car and hooked them up.. Still didnt work... I took my multimeter and went from the negative wire on the speaker in the door to the negative wire in the wiring harness and there is continuity( current gets through all the way). Is there something about these cars that I dont know of? My CD player used the front speakers just fine in my old car. Just looking for suggestions.. I thought I had all the bases covered but maybe I am missing something..
