front side marker lights broken

Hi there,

my front side marker lights appear to be broken (both). I've replaced both bulbs, checked all the fuses and still nothing. Rear lights, interior illumination and the instrument cluster are fine. Any ideas? Do these front lights have a separate relay? thanks,

which bulbs? the side markers are the tiny bulbs in the top outside corner of the housing, the large bulbs that are for the blinkers are only blinkers, not side markers. maybe that's where the confusion is?
