So I have a black car and those marker lamps in the front are white and they stand out a little to much for my liking. Can you buy darker ones or can you paint them?

cool, looks like you can get that at a local autozone. Also would that work good for painting the emblems?

it will work. niteshades is only a clear coat with a light tint pigment to it. applied to chrome emblems will give them a "black-chrome" look.

Thanks. That sounds like a cool look for the emblems. and as long as it darkens the marker lamps, i'm cool. They are currently white, not clear and stand out too much. Tinting them down even just a bit would make them look cool. Its time I go on my hunt for them.

*Update* I got the marker lamps painted and reinstalled and I painted the front emblem. Looks cool so far. Just waiting for the rear emblems to dry plus I need to remove some of the residue and there are scratches where the emblem used to be so I might try washing and waxing that spot first before I put it back on. I have no hurry's for the rear. Pictures will come when I am done.

Good to hear you got it working. I used regular black spray paint on mine

Well after battling with the emblems, I finally finished them as good as they will get. I noticed that soon after installing them with the vht paint, they started to chip easy and peal. So i took them off again and repainted them with a gloss black spray paint ment for plastic and used 3m tape to put them back on because the emblem glue left a huge mess. The rear isn't as clean looking as I hoped but its still ok looking. Someday I want to remove the rear ones and have the holes filled in for that flush look.

I have a spoiler and like it. I don't mind the key hole either. I just want the emblems off. What would he charge?
