Front passenger floor mat

I have a set of the all-weather Mazda floor mats.
How do I keep the front passenger mat from sliding around? It drives me crazy to have to adjust it every time someone gets in & out of the passenger seat...

i used some sticky velcro for mine for awhile.. then i got a bracket like the driver side and added a gromet on the mat. but this was on a protege, not sure what the 3 mats are like..

Adding a bracket and grommet to the passenger side all-weather mat in a 3 would be a total hack. You'd have to cut holes in the carpet and the mat. Do-able, but could get ugly. A better solution might be to apply some velcro-hook tape to the back, like the fabric floor mats have. But, it's actually sewn onto the fabric mats, so you'd be at the mercy of whatever adhesive is on the velcro-hook tape for maintaining contact with (and therefore placement of) the mat. And considering that tape holds... less well in cold climates, this is also a less-than-ideal solution. :/

Something that might work "well enough" is a set of metal suspender-style clips made specifically for holding floor mats in place. They have a 'U'-shaped, double-ended pin that you stick into the carpet at the back of the mat near the seat, inserted toward the front of the mat so that as the mat pulls on the clip it tries to pull the pin further into the carpet, which it can't. Since the lip on the all-weather mats is fairly beefy, these clips might just be able to hold onto it. Google "floor mat clips" and you'll see what I'm talking about. I haven't tried them yet in this car (I don't have many front seat passengers these days so my mat doesn't slip as often), but they worked like a charm in one of my previous cars.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the info.
I ended up just taking the Mazda mats out - I found they weren't that great in wet weather, my pant leg was constantly getting wet from the water sitting on the mat - thankfully I didn't have to pay for them.
I had a set of Michelin mats from my previous Madza3 so I put those in instead. They cover more of the floor and they don't slip!
