I traded in the 2003.5 MSP and bought a 2005 Pontiac GTO today. Here's some pics...

pretty sweet upgrade, good color choice, what was the differnece u had to pay for it?

Always liked the GTO. . .would have bought one, but it doesn't take two car seats very well. Bummer Nice choice, it looks very nice. I'd love a 2006 in blue. . .but instead I bought a TL - 4 door - family car of sorts.

I got a really good deal. I got the GTO for $25K and they gave me $13K for my trade in. On my MSP, I used to have a FMIC, but I swapped it with TxMazdaSpeeder so I could make it stock as possible.

Thats why I'm glad my wifey has an SUV.

I remember you talking about doing this! Congrats on the purchase. I'm SOOOO jealous of you as I LOVE the GTO's and think it's a dang shame they didn't sell better with all the people whining about retro styling. RETRO STYLING BE DARNED!

And I love the Generic looking american grill, besides it's not like people will be seeing much of it, all they will be getting a good look at is those 2 fat bazooka tailpipes (not peashooters like on the MS6) as you rocket away from them to the soundtrack of 400 honest to god naturally aspirated horsepower! Can you tell I'm a GTO fan.

Enjoy the ride man and pay no attention to the haters. Chances are: You're faster than they are and with IRS probably handle better too!

PS: I'm sure you know this but with light mods the LS2 BARFS out horsepower. Some basic bolt-ons and you'll be hitting 450-470 horses easy!

Once again: Congrats on owning an awesome and WAYYYY underappreciated car.

P.P.S: Wanna buy one for me too?

sweet man. I personally love the blue and also the black, not a big fan of the red. So a GTO and a SUV in the family? You guys must have some cheap gas there. Congrats. Any ideas if you are gonna do some work to it, and if so what?

I'VE been thinking about getting one too, that's why i'm trying to sell my mazda. I want a 2005 or 2006 because I really love that LS2 with 400hp. Does it take regular or premium?

Its says it "recommends" premium, but you can use regualr. The manual says it will affect the acceleration if you get 87 octane gas.

Not sure what I want to do to it. I need to decide if I want to go supercharged or turbocharged. All the aftermarket parts are expensive as hell for the GTO. Hell, 8.5:1 CR pistons and rods are freakin' $3600! The MSP's is as low as $825 from Mental Addiction.

Sorry I didn't see that is came with a crankshaft and bearings included. Now its not a bad deal. The MSP crankshaft and pistons and rods are $2220 combined plus with the GTO kit you get four more pistons and rods.
