I'm trying to replace my bulbs in my rear tail lights but they seem like a pain to get off. I unscrewed the 3 nuts but when i try pulling them out, there are some plastic pins or little snaps that still hold it on. I dont wanna break them off but i cant seem to unsnap them. I've searched how to's but there nothing explaining. Any tips??

He's talking about removing the taillights from the car, since you can't get at the bulbs until the taillight is removed.

I always just take the three nuts off and then pull. There's two clips holding them there I believe, and it does feel like you are breaking them when they come off. Make sure you grasp the taillight well though; if you drop it when you pop it out of the clips it'll scratch up your bumper.

Thanks alot guys, I was just afraid of breaking something on em'. I guess it's just a retarded design feature. Oh well. I'm gonna get those little bastards off tomorrow tho.

Ok, 1) I know this is a 3 months old thread, 2) I responded to a similar thread in MSP forum, but I have a P5 and is there any type of sealant around the tail lights? If not, then it would be easy to swap a set of JDM on?

depends where u order the tail lights from:
some swap out easy and just need plug and play
some need rewiring
id inquire about the rewiring issue

no sealant, just screws

good luck!

Thanks Chris, I know the set corksport sells is plug and play, makes life easier.

Call us up we'll sell you a set for $165 + shipping til the end of August.
I'm currently trying to make/aquire a harness for someone who bought them elsewhere and did not get the harness.

Make sure you put on hand on the bottom of the tail light. I found out the hard way that you can scratch your bumper if you're not careful. And yes, they just pop out with a hard yank, and no sealant, which I found interesting.

3 screws and a clip inside. tug, but be careful. my bumber is gouged now (i don't care since i'll be replacing that soon due to other circumstances...dog). make sure if u get tails, that it's plug and play (would be the easiest). wow, jipped, i paid $193 + shipping w/ corksport. it says made in England on the tails. the driver's side was tight but the passenger side went in nice. well, at least i got my order in 2 weeks being that they were not in stock. u'll love em. peace out!
