Was paying my insurance bill this morning and decided to check on the claim I had when I got in my accident.. Apparently it is still open for some bizzare reason. Anywho, I found a couple of pictures from when they did my estimate (midway through the repair proccess beacuse they found more damage..)

I thought the picture was cool, so I'd share it with you guys.

I want to drive it around like that for a few minutes.. scare some ricers.. they'll think the radiator is a huge FMIC

yeah well there's a few reasons for that.. I was on the way to the car wash before my accident, and they let the car sit outside on a dirt lot in stormy weather etc for about two weeks before they did anything to it.

Thats the condensor. The radiators behind that :). The radiators also undersized for the application, as its a single measly core. Which is why the PCM is constantly retarding timing. The second the coolant temp hits 200F, bam there goes 10 whp. If your sitting in traffic idling, the fans will be running on medium, and you'll be around 215F, which is a 20 whp loss over a car running around 195F.

AWR has a triple core radiator replacement available, which is more of a proper sizing for the v6. Here's some shots of the radiator next to the aftermarket one.

Guess which one is stock? Btw if your ever in a front end collision which results in your radiator being damaged, talk to your insurance company. You may be able to replace the stock one with the aftermarket one (direct bolt in, no modification whatsoever) for about 100 USD more then what the shop would charge to replace the stocker.

hmm.. what would be the advantages of tossing that in the good ol' 2.3?

Otaking actually has one in his car now. (He hit a lady that pulled out in front of him, her fault). His coolant temps via the scanner never budges. The fan's haven't come on since he got it put in...and he's in CA.

Note: When I say coolant gauge, I'm talking aftermarket and/or scanner. The stock coolant gauge has a dead range from around 150-160F to over 230F. (It reads the middle in that range).

I purchased one myself and should be getting it next week hopefully. I'll post feedback and additional info once its installed (and a how-to)

if you painted GReddy on the radiator drove like that the ricers will still wanna race you ;) You do have the car back in your posession right?
