yeah, I bet he got bitched at by the track officials for dropping oil half way down the track....

(you're supposed to stop.. a big puddle is easier to clean than an 1/8 mile of small ones)
 
I'm 90% sure he was trapping in the 11's but I also know he was having HELLA problems with putting that power down. For awhile he was trying to be the first to break 12's(on street tires). I'm not sure if he ever ran anything better than drag radials. He dyno'd at 500.1whp and 5xxTQ with a CO2 spray on the IC. After that he did a few more tweaks, which should have put him at those numbers w/o the CO2.

He gets nothing but respect from me for being the test mule. His last dyno was st00pid* tuned 531whp/532wtq. AFRs were 11.5-11.8:1


All the students went nuts and even the V8 loving instructors ate that s*** up :)

That car was the sheet!!! It was tight rollin with em a few weeks ago at TeaWorks & Rankin Rd. His car was insane, but from what i heard he was trying to blow that thing for the new motor :D
 
Well I'm still glad I got my MSP. Gotta give respect to those cars, but I would not buy one. I don't mind looking at the regular Proteges and knowing I have a tuned version of that, but to have an SRT-4 and look over at the neon with "PRINCESS" on the plates would make me want to tear my balls off.
 
it'd rather tear their balls off.. it's my moto, ruin someone else's balls before resorting to your own. so nobody knows that song eh ?
 
SAd day...that car is so damn sick. A new motor is gonna be pretty expensive 2.4L SRT-4. And word on his built block?

This guy has money, so coughing up cash for a fully built motor will be no problem. He ownes part of Leading Edge Lubricants. I just cant wait to see his new car in action!!!

Why cant he get something more challenging to work on like the MSP :(

Everyone knows the SRT-4 is capable but no one knows what the speed is capable. And no one has the money to test it out.... (cry) :(
 
no word on his next engine. rumors are flying about. some think Dodge/MoPar are going to give him a new engine, I duno why... the general consensus is that he'll come back with better organs and a better EMS. he was only using a fuel piggy back and MAF modifier for tuning. :)
 
From what a fellow SRT owner told me, hes taking the engine from Drew "myfault" hes registered here on the forums. He has a wrecked SRT along with his daily driven SRT, so steve should be taking the engine from the wrecked one.....and slapping that bad boy in. No word on the fully built motor though :(

that sucks man... I guess he will just have to drive his fastar cobra!!!
 
Drew said that hes going to push for 600 whp on the new stock motor :)
Shouldnt be too long before hes back on the streets burning up those tires!

Also, I believe one of the main causes of his engine blowing was from a fault spark plug. I'm not 100% sure on that, but he was running the stock POS Champion plugs heat rated even too hot for a stock SRT-4. Why he was using them on a 500 hp SRT-4 was beyond me.

If that's true, sucks a stupid plug ruined the party. Just wait for this next engine. He's saying like 600 whp easy...
