Found Out Who F'd Up My Car!!!

It was my friends ex girlfriend... she was mad b/c i didnt want her in my house cause i dont like her... she told my friend (a person she didnt think i talked to anymore) that she did it with PAINT THINNER... my friend was like "thats f'd up... you dont mess with a guys car..." and she said "well dont mess with a gurls heart".... her and her ex (my friend) werent sopposed to be seein eachother at that time cause she got him locked up, cause she called the cop on some stupid sh** and said he hit her... but thats another story... so to help my friend i wouldnt let her in and every time she called i would say he wasnt home... and the worst part about it... i think that after she did it... my friend (her ex) found out she did it... and STILL hasnt told me... cause they still talk... and THE ****** LIVED with me... I really have no idea what i should do cause now that i know who did it... i dont have PROOF... i need ideas on how to set her up to get proof...

i was thinkin about goin to the police station and telling them what happend and tellin them i know who did it... but then id still need proof... OH YEAH... the friend that told me doesnt want anyone to know they told me so... he cant be my proof...

someone plz help... all opinions welcome...

wow! most important is to keep a cool head. you don't want to do something you'll later regret. I'd say go to the cops and see what you need, probably an admission on tape. In the meantime, do not let anyone know you're on to her. word can spread to her the same way it got to you. if it was her, you'll have to be even more two-faced than the people you'll have to go through to get to the truth.

Go to the police station and file a report.

In some states, you can obtain a warrant for an arrest by swearing one out yourself. Sounds complicated, but you dont need any proof. Just need to swear out a testimony at the Magistrates office in your county. You write a statement of what happened and why you believe she did it (bring a witness or someone who knows she did it) and sign your name. The Magistrate issues a warrant for the charge against her and the police dept. sends officers to arrest her and give her a court date. At court you will need the proof or witness statements to prove your charge against her, so go prepared.

It's also better to take pictures of what happened and make a list of possible suspects if you plan on filing a report. If you file the report, the detectives that work in property crimes WILL investigate if you give them leads. Just give them a list of suspects and motives. Your friend that may want to remain "anonymous" can probably still do so. They may just have to sign a sworn statement saying what they know and request that they dont want to show to court or anything. It's kinda a weird process, BUT vandalism is a misdemeanor and is punishable by arrest. Here's the definition: To willfully destroy, damage, deface, or otherwise injure real or personal property without the consent of the owner or the person having custody or control of the item(s) involved. Vandalism is considered a crime against property. A case report by your local law enforcement authority is required, can be investigated and will be prosecuted. They will be brought in for questioning and usually will confess. As long as they are stupid. Most petty crimes are admitted to. It's the others that are harder. And also depends on if they get a lawyer, etc, etc. Just don't wait long to file the report. Do it as soon as possible, your credibility will be a factor here if not.

So... in other words..... file a police report, get your time lines, motives and suspects listed for investigation and let the boys in blue do the rest. What she did is a crime and you deserve to be heard. If nothing else, at least you tried. And by filing a police report, some insurance companies will cover the claim as long as you filed and have that kind of coverage. But if you're going to do this, make sure you follow through and advise the officer that you are willing to prosecute. Dont feel sorry for her or your friend and dont let anyone talk you out of it. She deserves whatever it is she gets and who's to say that she hasn't gotten away with that behavior before. Teach that #&*@ a lesson. lol

Watch the cops show up to her house in the evening when she's eating dinner w/mummy and daddums and see how she reacts to that. I would go after her ass to the fullest extent of the law. Petty jealous revenge will get you nowhere, do it right and watch her pay in her orange overalls on the side of the street picking up trash as you pass by, tossing your Mickey D's refuse out the window at her dumbass. Clownfish and Lara are right. Get the law man. I'm glad I did that when someone I know was doing stupid s*** to me back in the day. They didn't think it would catch up to them, but it did! If I would have hit them, or did the same s*** they were doing, and got caught, all my credibility would have been gone, not to mention I'd be in the same boat with them. Make sure you document any future occurances of incidents. Get your s*** together, and hit the law up!

yeah, as much fun as it would be to vigilante your way to 'justice', it'd be messed up to have the cops coming to your door because she went to them. plus if you do something later and its already on file that she's been instigating and harassing then you come out looking clean and she looks like she's trying to use the system for revenge
relatively clean and secure ways to get her back:
use your photography skills (as evidenced on this board ) to get some interesting photos of her out at a club. (from my experience, most girls with 'silicones' purchased them to show them off when drinking) and I'm sure her parents or new bf or even the excitable boys and girls of protege5.com would love to know how they turned out and how thoughtful she is showing them to the better part of Miami. (from my knowledge, as long as she does it in a public place then she loses the right to privacy and the pics are deemed public domain )
