usually it's the max_input_time paramenter which is responsible for reception of get/post data such as file uploads.

if an execution_time error comes up, i guess the functions_search.php is trying to do something with the stuff you just uploaded/attached... i'm not familiar with the internals of VB, i can't say anything specific about it.

I am not uploading anything. All I am trying to do is start a simple thread. I even tried to start one with a one word title and a one word body and got the same error message.

the only problem i have sometimes is when i go to my CP to look at my massages it comes up "page not found" so i have to refresh a couple of times to fix it,other than that this site is great.

I get that too, every few times I check my messages or sometimes when I try to first log in too. Ever since they went with the new VB version, everything's been down at one point or another. I think things have gotten better, but who knows, it's hard to tell.
