Fortin EVO-ONE Install Questions

I believe I tried that and it was a no go.if it happens again, I will try it out. I'm just glad that at least the trunk unlocked.

In the meantime, I heard back from support via QA and they want me to call in.

Just a quick update.... that didnt work and no solution or response from support so I decided to disable E4 so I can atleast manually unlock the doors since the Advanced Keyless is spotty.

Next up....

Since I had a dual zone proximity sensor, without the 4 to 3 pin wire, I decided to solder the wire directly to the sensor pins. For the Evo One, I'm going to use header pins

I plan on testing this out this weekend and see how it goes.

Here's a pic of the Omega AU-94TM Proximity Sensor.

Interesting! I have a similar item (made by DEI) for my convertible, but I'd never thought of having one in a metal-roofed car. Where will you mount it?

Yup ... had it in my other non-convertible vehicles. It works great for those looking through the window 😉

I plan on installing it under the center console armrest lid.

@RedBaron - I dry fitted and tested it out and works great! It does the warn-away (2 beeps) and full alarm without any issues.

Below is the link... WARNING - LOWER YOUR DEVICE VOLUME BEFORE WATCHING IT.

I need to do the final install and adjust the sensitivity setting and lower it down a little.

Excellent! Thanks.

How did you wire it to the Fortin (where/what pins?). I assume it's to the black "F" shock sensor (?) connector, but I can't find any pin-out of that connector in the instructions.

Also, when I installed, I just enabled E4 as the instructions said. If you disable it, can you still lock/unlock with the remote and door button (is it just the walk-away that's removed?)

I got the pin out in the one youtube clip that exist from Lessco. From left-to-right, ground-sensor-positive. The header pin connectors is a perfect fit. On the sensor side, I connected the blue and green together to the blue on the Evo-One; then red to red, black to black.

Yes, lock/unlock still work with the remote.

I just have to manually unlock the door since the door handle to unlock the door is disabled. It's a little inconvenient but it's better than going through the back lift gate to unlock the doors. 😉

The walk-away to lock the doors still works. Plus I have the Evo One set to lock the doors anyway.
