forged crank vs not forged crank

So my motor has 215k miles on it and atleast one of the piston rings is leaking. I'm thinking about going to my local pull a part and yanking a 2.0 fsde out of a 626. They seem to have a bunch of those. But they all seem to be 2000s. Now I know they do not have forged cranks but would it be ok to drop it in my car till I can go forged? And how much can the none forged crank handle? I plan to do a partial rebuild on it and maybe crank the boost up to 10psi....thoughts?

Seeing how you are the guy who beats the hell out of your car daily, go forged. Not saying a cast crank would not work in a mild build situation but the extra strength of the forged crankshaft is preferred.

It would just be a temp thing. I plan on pulling the motor that has 215k mike out and using it to go forged. The 626 motor would just he to hold me till I can forge the old motor. I just don't have the money to full forged right now. Is love to....but finds aren't there for that right now.

To clear it up 93 was forged 94 95 96 97 were not, 98 and newer were forged

I have a fully rebuild 98 626 engine in mine, the crank had the cast stamping on it. I've been pushing 9-10 psi on it for 2 years and 30k with no problem. I'm not really worried about it as more than likely the rods will give out before the crank ever does.
