I also heard the ATP does anywhere between 8-10psi, it's like random or something. Can someone confirm this?

the ATP is actually setup for 6psi. i have never seen one hit 10psi with just the actuator alone. truth of the matter is this - wastegate springs with recommended settings are pretty much just that, recommended settings. we installed an external Tial on a protege with a 9lb spring that only got the car to 5lbs. every setup is going to react differently, plus the various components you have in the turbo system will affect the boost. you may have a small boost leak, an intercooler core with pressure loss, etc. nice thing about adjustable actuators is being able to compensate somewhat by adjusting the nut/rod.

heck even stock msps hit different boost levels. i have seen from 4 to 9 psi stock to stock on msps with no more mods than a boost gauge.

i would have asked how you knew what the boost level was w/ no mods, but since you covered that base, instead I'll ask where the heck you are finding stock MSPs... cuz clearly there are some owners that need to be informed of what they're missing out on!

i'm not finding them anymore honestly :) this was four years ago

We offer four springs:

Green - 5-10
Yellow - 9-14
Blue - 14-18
Red - 19-24

You adjust throughout those ranges by way of the threaded turnbuckle on the end of the actuator rod.

Does adjusting on the turnbuckle at all contribute to boost creep or anything negative?

Also I'm extremely satisifed with my WGA thus far, and kick ass turn around time! FL to WI within 2 days of ordering! Thanks!

If you adjust to low (not enough preload) you can hurt response and potentially get some creep if there isn't enough tension to hold the flap shut against exhaust gas at high RPM.

what type of spring do i need to push 9 ibs of boost without a boost controler on a forge wga

newb question. I just ordered a Forge wga with "9lb" spring. if 'when' this gets installed and i test out to only 6lbs. will this be able to be adjusted easily with it still installed? or does it have to come out completely to adjust it? thanks.

You'll need to tighten the turnbuckle if that happens. You should be able to perform this on the car, if i recall correctly, just disconnect the turnbuckle from the wastegate flapper and shorten the rod.
