has anyone successfully installed this yet on a msp? didnt see any threads about it. what are the ups and downs of this vs the atp actuator? ive seen the atp boost 9psi on a msp cuz it non adjustable. i want an actuator that allows me to run stock boost and switch to high boost with my dsmbc.

if the forge and the atp both run a 9psi stock boost level would it be possible to use a mbc to actually lower boost?

Our softest spring is rated at 5-10 psi depending on how you adjust the preload. As for lowering the boost below the wga base spring pressure, the quick answer is no. There are exceptions but I believe in the case of the MSP it wouldn't be possible.

yea it seems like everyone is running 9psi with the atp. i want to be able to run 5 and 10 psi. patty is that possible with the forge actuator?

why not just remove the wastegate altogether and boost 0?
5 is dumb..why would you want to boost lower than factory?

i plan on getting the MPI ported mani, turbo & s-pipe with the gt28rs guts in the turbo...... i want to run stock boost (until i get my built motor). If my wastegate goes on me, i dont want to run 9psi daily, but 6.5 instead....

6.5 psi on a gt28rs is different from 6.5psi on the t25....

i am interested in knowing if i can tune the forge wastegate to stock boost as well.

Manufactured from Billet aluminium, the Forge adjustable actuator is a two part assembly that will allow servicing and mainteinance. It also allows for rod adjustment to suit the customers individual application.

yes its adjustable

I also wonder about direct replacement fitment. When replacing these, tuning is recommended after installing.

I wondered if the forge unit would work. Oh well. I have the atp piece and I am boosting a lil over 8psi. I have a dsm afc that I need to get on the speed soon. I'm getting a lot of bucking and such in the morning time. So I know its time for some tuning

I honestly couldn't say for certain. The softest spring is rated from 5-10 psi and preload can be set with the adjustable turnbuckle but turbine housing design, downpipe design, where you connect the vacuum reference will all affect where you will fall in that range.

Then there is the question of fitment. Does anyone have pictures of the stock turbo and actuator, or does anyone know of another car with the same bracket and actuator rod?

ya if any one knows alot about these can you pm me.. cause i want to see if it will work it and intake exhaust adn fmic without blowing my stock motor and rods..

sorry to thread jack. but my dealer said my wastegate was gone. but the car didnt feel any diff. i was wondering if it is a direct replacement for the stock one? if so would it be safe to put it on a stock motor with intake and exhaust?

When mine went bad it was VERY noticeable i would go to a tuner shop and have them check it, from my dealer experience they dont have alot if any MSP experience.

haha i couldnt decide whether to say anything.
hey man i know youre going through this right now but the thread is like 3 years old haha
