Modifying cars is something different for everyone. Some people frankly don't give a s*** if their car is mega fast. They don't race. They don't take their car to the track. They don't give a flying **** about getting a dyno or a professional tune. For some people, this hobby is all about building a perfect machine and pushing the envelope. For others, it's about simple modifications or changes to aesthetic details that make them happy or confident. If that useless whoosh noise is what makes you happy, and it isn't detrimental to your car, why the hell not?

yeah to each his own but there are some of us that actually try and fight the battle of rice. we have to stop the ricer stereotype somehow.. and it should be by influencing others to build better machines.

my .02 on defining rice: a part with no performance benefit added to a car to make it look or sound like a performance car to someone who doesn't know better: stickers, whale tails, stick-on vents, fart cans, etc.

so VTA is rice, but since the car does have a turbo it falls on the fringe of actually being something in the realm of a performance car, so it's the lowest of rice offenses.
like i said just my .02. i'm pretty sure i'll be dead before i vta.
