forge bov's for ms3/ ms6/ cx-7

thats how it is supposed to sound !!
a whoosh and then a short high pitched sound at the end.
i think it sounds very similar to an HKS when used VTA.
i love it !!

i thought the same thing about the ringing when I got it, but listened closer to partial boost venting and realized it's actually a whistle. cool sound imo

so you can only by the recuric or the vta its not one unit where you just disconnect something to make it a vta and do you get the sound and the whistle withe the recuiric versin thats availble now?

from forge the recirc valve does not do well in VTA. if thats what you want you need to buy the other valve

If you have a CAI, the Forge is quite loud in Recirc mode.

it is loud.
i meant drivability wise. the car does not run good if you use the recirc valve in vta

so it would be best to buy the recirc forge valve right? it will be close to stock but hold boost better, correct?
doesn't vta run rich?
i want something close to stock that isn't made of plastic. hehe.

I have heard the stock Bpv with an injen cai and its very noticeable.
How much louder different is the Forge???

yeah, i have the injen and you can hear the turbo spool and the bov really well.

So lets get it clear, when putting in a CAI which one runs better with the CAI, Recirc or VTA??? ( Talking about the Forge!)

you do not want to run vent to atmosphere under almost any condition with these cars

I got my Forge recirc valve yesterday, thanks Ken!

Installed it today, and my description of the noise when shifting under full boost would be a short clang along with/followed by a brief high-pitched whistle. Under less boost, it's just the whistle, and a bit quieter of course. The sound is much clearer and more defined than the stock valve. In my opinion, it sounds awesome. I should mention that I have the MS CAI.

The install was really easy, and I added zip ties to the stock hose clamps just for peace of mind.

glad to hear you like it !! did you keep the blue spring in it ??

unless of course the stock BOV isn't holding pressure properly, which seems to be the case at the peak psi levels on this engine, from members. I'm still unsure of what is going on, but if people are claiming they are getting more oomph from the modification, there may very well be a little leaking from the stock BOV. Your thoughts?

Take it to a tune shop and test it.

Hard to listen to "Well with this new BPV my car is faster so the old one must leak" without laughing, sorry. Definitely going to need numbers to prove this. :D
