Forge BOV

sigh why can't we all just acknowledge it as "wastegate flutter"...it happens on turbo cars not just are but others as well. the topic has been beaten to a pulp.

The vids will be up tomorrow afternoon. I have been extremely busy lately and I keep putting this off. But I promise, tomorrow afternoon, once I get off of work, they will be up.

Actually if you dont mind, I could use a hand. Im using the "sunction cup" camera mount for one shot, than from the inside and a flyby outside. If you want to give me a hand Ill treat ya to lunch or something.

I couldn't agree more! :)

And personally, I like, what has been deemed, the "turkey" sound. :)

Cheers.

Oh man, I can just imagine how good that would sound with the windows down. I can't wait to get mine. Oh yeah.

TTT...if anyone has their plastic IC pipes or intake pipes & can loan/donate them to Forge, they will be able to make replacements out of silicone. (thumb)

Tom is going to let me know on Friday what products they think they are going to develop: ex. silicone hose replacements, etc.

Thats what they were making for the SRT-4...but i wonder if the speed really need a adjustable wastegate acuator. Looks nice!

Well it'd be pretty cool to be able to change the spring at will. Plus that would make boost controllers more accurate

The one deciding factor for me is whether they'll have something to support the BOV. I don't want to end up using hoses that can't take the weight and force over time.

The hose looks long when you get it, but you have to trim off about 1/3 of it to get it to fit right, so the remaining shorter section has no trouble supporting the BOV. Mine fits perfectly up against the stock airbox, but if you have an Injen & are worried about this, it would be really easy to just fabricate something yourself after a trip to Home Depot.

So no one has had trouble with the upper i/c pipe?

I've heard 2 instances of the flange coming off the plastic IC pipe breaking off during installation (usually when taking off the stock BPV...has nothing to do with BOV). There haven't been any problems with the BOV once it's been installed.
