For the love of God!!!

Hey loose sorry to hear about that hope you get her back soon. BTW i live Jax also let me know if ya wanna hang sometime. I have a 06 MS6

Where in Jax are you? I'm in Baymeadows and I work at Shands in Downtown (most of the time).

645 am: driving to Gainsville (71mi trip), notice car driving erratically, car slows down in right lane on 3 lane road, I drive byin left lane. I think to myself "this guy is ****** up." 4 miles later I'm in the right lane then....WHAM! I'm like "WTF." Driver I pegged as "****** up" has just rearended me. I motion for him to pull over and the SOB jumps the curb into the supermarket parking lot and takes off. I give chase and block him in the parking lot. He almost hits me again but plows threw some bushes and jumps the curb again back onto the main road. I'm calling *FHP on my cell and I get his plate #. The trooper on the phone tells me to "cease and dissest" my pursuit. I get a good description of guy and pull over. 10 minutes later troopers show up and question me. Apparently others have called 911 when they saw what happened. Driver has suspended license for DUI'S and no insurance. Cops chase him down an arrest him. My car has 3k+ damage and I'm pissed.

I will end up eating the 250.00 deductible and will be without a car for 2-3 weeks. Apparently the hatch has to come from somewhere far away. My car that just turned 5k looks like s***.

Just want to rant. (protest)

dude, thats sum s*** right there, chasin him an stuff, reminds me of the show "cops" lol. anyways , glad you got the s*** situated , what u need to do now, is make his life miserable. people like this needs to get off the road 4eva.

also possible jail time too cuz if he didnt hit you, imagagine if he hit sumonelse that doesnt know how to drive, and he might end up killin sumbody.

"Regular readers will recall that the Neon-based SRT4 we tested in April 2004 posted better numbers: 5.3 seconds to 60, the quarter in 13.9 at 103. Youll also recall that a Mazdaspeed 3 [Power Toys, May 2007] ran to 60 mph in 5.4 and through the quarter in 14 flat at 101. We should note here that at 3233 pounds the Caliber is 249 pounds heavier than that Neon-based SRT4 and 48 pounds heavier than the Mazdaspeed. Mass is never a plus for acceleration, nor does it help braking. The SRT4s brakes dont fade, but 175-foot stops from 70 mph cant be called impressive. "

c and D , its the verdict damnit !

^^^^ LOL WHAT?!

I think you pasted the wrong text :D:D:D

And to the OP, sorry to hear about that, but it sounds like you are well on your way to sort it all out.

LOL you're a neurologist??? wow... a neurologist driving an MS3 with a vanity plate that says 'loose' chasing down someone who rearended him. that's some funny s***! you're undoubtedly the coolest brain surgeon in the world.

If the body shop you are at will not cover your deductible find a different one that will, and just ask for it. The body shop will more then likely do it because that 3 thousand job will turn into 5 thousand when they tear everything down watch. If they want your business theyll cover the deductable. Also, I hope everything works out for you, I feel suing him civily will just be a waste of your time. Someone who has a suspended license and 3 duis, and is still driving, then trying to run when he rear ends you sounds like someone who wont have a dime to give you, plus he is going to jail for a hit and run and other charges I assume. So it will be years before you see anything and if you are serious about pressing charges odds are youll be tied up in court for days of your life and at best the courts will garnish his wages 10 years from now when everything gets finalized.

Thanx.

Yeah, it is good to see doctors using their brains when buying a car! I think I've looked through all the profiles on the occupation thread, and MD has only come up twice.

That is pretty bad ass to follow the guy. I actually have a family friend who did the same thing. She caught a guy trying to break in to her car. He got scared and fled in the car he came in. She (yes she, a middle-aged female) was so mad she jumped in her car and started following him. Got on the phone to the cops as she followed him through town running stop signs and the whole deal. She followed until the cops stopped him. Of course the police recommended that she not follow a suspect, but they also admitted that she helped out a lot.

FYI: a neurologist is a not a brain surgeon, that would be a neurosurgeon

That's correct. I get the "brain surgeon" thing all the time. My specialty is cerebral vascular disease...ie: strokes.

I drive a MS3 cause it's my second 3 and I love them.

If the authorities can squeeze street racers' cars into a pulp for street racing, how come they don't do the same for these effers? (five-0)

I'm just glad you're in one piece still, man. Similar thing happened to my wife recently. Driving to work on the freeway one early Saturday morning couple of weeks ago. Black SUV driving erratically pulls side by side to my wife. My wife takes this one time to actually slow down and let the guy go past her. Black SUV begins to swerve into her lane, knocking my wife's car first to the right freeway wall, then she ricochets towards the left freeway wall. By that point, car has both front tires blown, fluids leaking, and completely stalled. She calls me to help her call highway patrol/paramedics/AAA to help get her off the freeway and to a hospital. After all that's done, by the time I see her on the ER bed, the only thing I was glad for was that my wife was in one piece, save for a tongue laceration and chest contusion.

Long story short, totaled Chevy Cavalier, numerous medical bills we're too afraid to open (b/c no med insurance atm), and f-hole who gets away, b/c it happened way too fast and no one could identify the effer -- not my wife, not the numerous commuters who passed by and didn't call 911 after seeing my wife stranded. But I still have my wife. And at the end of the day, that's what counts (at least for me).

Again, I'm glad you're in one piece, buddy.

Where in Jax are you? I'm in Baymeadows and I work at Shands in Downtown (most of the time).

I live in north Jax -Oceanway I have a pizzeria on the northside and also one on Atlantic near st johns bluff Its called Luigis by Regis Pizza ... Regis is my business partner. I work alot so dont get out to much. I would like to set something up where some local Mazda people could hang out sometime. I have been to Sonic on beach a couple times alot of people hang there on Sat nights ,most of them are younger . Not really a mazda section either . I have met one guy who has a MS6 and a RX7.

In my state (not sure about yours) leaving the scene of an accident is a felony. If the cops charged him with that they will probably need you in court to testify? Maybe he will do some serious jail time and have "Moe" two cells over pay him a visit every day.
