couple of days ago, i got me a nice setup. it pounds perty hard, but along with that i aquired some rattleing. the spolier believe it or not, is fine. plus it shouldnt be on there to much longer.its not my tag,its solid. i believe alot of it is the trunk release handle and mechanism inside the trunk. i can grab it and shake it and pretty good, so i think that is alot of it. i was curious if any of you guys had this problem? if you took it out,or some how modified it to not move?
alot of it sounds as if it is coming from the top of the trunk(when closed)kinda by the window. i took care of inside of the car(back panel), sounds awesome inside the car . but i cant stand the monster rattle outside of the car.
and if any body has some pics of sound deadning on trunk lid, i would love to see them.
thanks brian

I have the same problem, most of the rattling went away after i took off the rear deck(the plastic part) Im goin to put it back on after i put weather stripping on it to avoid the rattle, For the rest of the rattle im going to use dynamat.

Removethe middle seat belt real. Deaden the rear deck plastic an metal. Deaden the underside of the trunk lid. Wrap the trunk pop cable in foam tape to keep it from hitting anything directly. Tighten up what you can. deaden the liscense plate, foam tape the plate frame.

Its aways going to rattle, the spoiler and tail lights are a major source of it outside of the car, even if they can't be placed as being such.

on my 97 the gas tank rattles(something inside it maybe?) and the rear deck flaps up about 3/4-1/2 an inch and the rear trunk lid shifts around alot...i pretty much given up hope that i could get the rattle to stop...so i got used to it
