fog light delete

so i've searched before and found a part that replaces the stock fog lights with a piece that looks like the honeycomb grill. when i called the parts place that sold the part, they regretfully informed me that the part was for mazda 3's only.

it looks like the part would work, but then again the mazda 3 foglight shape is pretty similar overall. i don't know...

does anybody know of a fog light delete? or any kind of alternate fog light route?

anybody tried anything??

thanks!

idk, man. it looks like it would fit to me...

This is great. Exactly what I need. I cracked the left side lens and would cost 200 ish to replace the whole housing. They don't sell the lens separately.

I would leave it cracked, not really noticeable but my front bumper eats cones on weekends and shattered pieces on an autox course is just askin for trouble. I'll have to add a balast to the back so no one protests me for weight reduction. ;)

I'll get my parts guy to find the part number.

ya... hmm. i mean, it doesn't look bad with the foglights removed, but it'd be cool to fill that space with something. like a fog light cover or something like the wrx, sti, evo's have.

I, too, would like to find a replacement part for the fog lights - so I will be watching this thread and looking for parts.

In my case, the passenger's side fog light lens is cracked and I do not use them. It would be more economical to remove them rather than often repairing/replacing them, and it would look cleaner to put something in the space they leave as the OP suggested.

I`ve thought often that I would like to find a way to replace the almost useless stock foglight with a small diameter round high intensity driving light to supplement the high beams and fill the rest of the space with an open mesh to create a cold air source to feed my cai. Not a direct ram air type thing, but just another source to blow colder outside air across it. It would require getting someone with extensive knowledge of the wiring harness to help out with how to make the switch work only with the highs on instead of just the lows, but I think it would be worth it.

Look higher

drive the path defined by the cones, not from cone to cone

rub cones with your rear wheels

Possible fog light blanks for MS3

These look the same as those pointed out by the OP (post #3). I am considering purchasing them.

Has anyone tried them?

That piece actually looks like it's for the 04-06 mazda3 sedan, if that's the case then they are too big for the ms3. I had a 06 sedan and looked into fogs when I had it, that's why I think this.

The picture could be wrong, it's not uncommon for that on the web. If you're serious just spend the 20 bucks, and if it wont work send it back.
