Ok this is my 3rd dealership cause they keep on screwing me over... I knew this was going to happen sooner or later at this dealership....

They call me up.. and they blame my aftermarket light bulbs that are in there.... :bs: They said it's higher wattage.. i am like you don't even know the wattage of the bulbs themselves and you are blaming them???? wtf is that about... I told them they are stock wattage, so they can't void the warranty on that.. so they come up witht he excuse that I have an alarm in there... and I said yes but the wires don't tap into my fog lights what so ever.

He said well we are taking your front bumper off and checking all the wires and if it's not a mazda defective part then we are going to charge you $79/ hour for the inspection fee. Right now we are at 2 hours... 2 hours for what I ask... to take apart the lights, look at he wirring.. and so forth... I am liek I can do that in 30 minutes....

But anyways... I know the wires should be fine and nothing I ever did to the car should affect this what so ever. I am worried on the other hand that they will pull some :bs: excuse on me like all the other dealers...

Why can't I just be old and people believe me when I say s***... it's like I am a young dumb ass or something.....

After bieng on the phone for 45 mintues with the service manager... he finally gave in and he is replacing the harness for both the fog lights on warranty. He told me who ever changed the lights screwed them up.. he wont' tell me what is wrong exactly with the harness itself but he started off blaming the bulbs, the me then who ever changed the lights...

I shouldn't have to put up with this.. it's such a waist of time for the both of us... I have only ever owned Mazda's... so it makes it hard for me to judge the service... but my dad ahs received amazing service from Ford and Toyota... he wont' buy a mazda now cause of the issues he seen me go through.... and he doesn't the half of them...

I Hate to take the dealers side on this one, but if you would've left the stock bulbs in there im positive that your harness would be fine. From reading your posts it seems your fog light harness died and you had aftermarket bulbs. All aftermarket bulbs are garbage that they sell and even if they don't say it they are more watts than the stock harnesses can handle. On my old accord i melted the harnesses of my headlights, corner lights and bumper lights because i bought aftermarket bulbs that supposedly would not hurt them. Now they even sell aftermarket harnesses because they know the stock ones can't handle the watts.

The oem lights burnt out... well one of them did.. so I replaced it with these ones... 5 months later... they burn out... and I use my fog lights all the time at night... rarely if ever use the high beams...

(rant)I'm going with Jcs. OTHER than the UNREAL handling I've been very unimpressed with the car's build quality. I've got rattles upon rattles, the bushings are a completely different story, I've had problems with my fogs as well, strange noises here, odd noises there; and just quirks in general. some may say, bring it in and they'll fix it under warranty, well yeah, that's great and all, but I don't have that kind of time to be dropping my car off and being carless for a day here and a day there, let alone getting a ride to and from the dealership as they don't give you a rental unless it will be a long while(>a day). The service I have gotten or rather not gotten from both dealer and Mazda to this point has been lousy. Sorry to say but this will most likely be my last Mazda product. After seeing my buddy buy his new GTI and the treatment he gets to even the most minor issues (even when he has modded his car!!) it makes me regret not waiting and getting a couple more thousand together and buy a VW. BTW, he's pushing close to 200 to the wheels with some relatively minor mods.(/rant)
Sorry, had to vent, bad week.

I'm with JCS too. There is a Mazda dealership here in Arlington that me and Ben have been to that continually show their lack of knowledge of the laws concerning warranty issues. Ben, care to chime in??

much better day...found a good dealership that actually knows what they are doing. got the thunk fixed and am very happy...just needed to vent the other day.
game on
