Is is possible to use a fmic with out a turbo?
I dont really know for sure and thought i would ask.

could you just hook your air intake to were the turbo would go?

Would it help any at all or should i wait till i buy the turbo?
also can i put a blow off valve on the fmic without the turbo?

any help would be awesome.
Thanks (thumb)

Fmic without a turbo is just a waste of time and money. The fmic will do basiclly nothing but lower your intake air temp slightly.

So you want an interfooler huh....

It sounds like you still have a lot of research to do for your turbo set-up, mate. A FMIC without a turbo is what we refer to as an "interfooler".

I understand you wanting to put parts on your car but it I think it would be best to do all your research, buy all your parts and organize them in your living room and triple check you have everything from the turbo to all the little fittings. THEN you can install the whole turbo kit and FMIC all together and enjoy.

*edit* Beat me to it, Stealth...

An FMIC is only needed for a turbo because the air gets extremely hot. With just an intake your breathing the same temp air as the FMIC would be cooling it down to. So the answer is no. There is Absolutely no benefit to this.

alright just asking lol
Thanks for the input. still trying to learn.
I have done research but no one has ever said anything about installing it with no turbo.
I'm trying to turbo my mp5 right now but it is taking time to save all the money to buy the parts.
