FMIC Power Gains?

Sup all, I just installed the Cobb FMIC to lengthen the life and reliability of my turbo. It now runs 80 to 95 degrees cooler depending on if its at idle or if im getting on it took me about 12 hours mainly because i must have checked the clearance and clamps over 10 times and was very careful trimming my front bumper. Anyways I did notice a wider Power band and better top end but am not really sure exactly how much horsepower it added nor could i find out researching on the web. Does anyone here know around how much power is added with the fmic?

i was planning on going the cobb fmic. and i didnt think you had to trim ne thing do you have ne install pics to see

Sorry i dont have a camera but its not nearly as bad as it sounds. I just took an angle grinder to some of the black plastic on the bottom behind the bumper near the fog lights so that there was clearance between the piping and bumper. If your planning on getting a fmic cobb is the way to go because there are no clearance issues if installed exactly according to instructions(they tell you to do alittle trimming) and you can also download the stage 1 map for the sri and fmic. Youll notice a wider powerband and big top end gains. 98 degrees cooler nuff said

While a FMIC has benefits over a TMIC, I sure hate to hang it "out there" in front where a small hit could ruin it. JMHO.

Thats true but whatd happen if i hit something isnt what i really think about when i install something but i do always keep around 15 to 20 car lengths behind the car in front of me to avoid little pebbles that scratch the paint and could hit the core and also kept the plastic grill for a little more protection

You could dyno the car with the intercooler and then compare it to stock dyno runs..
My new TMIC added proly 15-30HP so i would guess your front mount would do the same or more..
