FM Turbo Group buy

If it does not have a CARB sticker, I will need to do some extra things to pass emission standards in AK. We are pretty strict when it comes to carbon monoxide emissions from vehicles.

On the Flyin protege Website, it says that CARB approval is pending for the kit, and if it is approved by the time of the group buy, I'm will most likely be in. If not, I will need to do some research on what will need to be done to pass emission standards here.

The kit retains both catalytic convertors and all emissions equipment which the other turbo kits do not. I don't think CARB is going to be a problem.

as for the group buy, I think you should probably ask Keith if doing one is OK :) especially if you are looking at some kind of price break.

Captain speaks wisely. We don't do group buys. We don't offer special pricing for certain individuals, or sales, or discounts. Everyone pays the same so you can buy when you're ready and not have to wait for someone to put together a group buy.

Tailpipe emissions will be unaffected in the vast majority of state tests. CARB approval involves evaporative emissions, cold start emissions and a complex drive cycle as well as a boatload of paperwork. This is expensive and not a realistic thing to check on every car. You should have no trouble getting through AK smog tests. When the car's not in boost, it will act just like a stock one. The light-up of the precat may be slightly delayed if they're checking cold start numbers which is highly unlikely.
