So, I am currently replacing the clutch/flywheel/LSD on my car and ive had the tranny off for a couple weeks now and its been sitting around waiting on parts. I finally got everything today and decided to go pull the flywheel, but I cant for the life of me stop it from spinning. Is this something you need a second person for or what did you guys do? i tried a second jack raised against the teeth, a prybar against the teeth, and etc..the only problem is those bolt are on really good and if i need to hold something with one hand its going to be tough to break the bolts. the impact at max psi wont break them either, although my compressor kinda sucks so that may be the issue. Is there some kind of tool I can use to do this?

For anyone who is interested, this is how it ended up doing it and it was quite easy. I cut a 2x4 so that when the dowels that line up with the pressure plate was at the 9:00 position it was between the board and the floor tightly. held strong while i broke the bolts. although if you are reusing the stocker you may run the risk of bending it. here is a photo of it in place: http://imgur.com/5j9oP

Also, as an aside, my broken lsd turned out to be a broken and rewelded lsd the prev owner failed to inform me about. I guess im suprised it held up as long as it did, the welds on it looks like someone with parkinson's disease did it.

Yeah the flywheel bolts are a b**** to get off if you dont have a impact gun. Have you installed the new one yet because you may run into the same issue when trying to get the bolts tight.
