I was just curious if anyone knows what the taxes are for cars in florida. I have the title to my RX7 but I never did register it yet because I think it might be cheaper to register in Florida. The car is in texas right now.

Also, I was told that there is no smog inspections in florida. Is this true? becuase my speed3 and RX7 wont pass. lol.

There is a 6% sales tax on cars. So you would have to pay 6% based on the bill of sale.

And no, we do not have emissions testing in FL. The only yearly cost for a car(besides insurance) is your tag renewal which is like $60

but the new car registration fee's are going to up the amount significantly.
I bought an accord last year originally from RI. the car cost $1600, but after tax/tag/title fee's that price jumped to almost $2300
