Yesterday I found a screw in my tire... dunno how it got there but I think it was some jealous punk who placed in in there.

Anyways, I brought it over to Goodyear Fountain Tire, and they said that it is too damaged inside to be repaired. So I had to order a new one and it'll cost me 300 bucks to replace (17" tires).

So to the bastard that planted the screw in my tire, I hope you're happy. Just because you can't afford a nice car, doesn't mean you should go and mess with someone elses car.

Bleh.

well maybe you ran it over

and yes I know someone who has an Alero, and they have the same tires, but 16" and they wanted 300 for them

so he bought a used one for like 120 Can

try gettin one that has been used b4 but that doesnt have alot of wear on it

I'm just gonna go with a brand new one. Too lazy to look around, and I wanna be able to drive my car soon. I could have run the screw over, but I think I would have noticed a pop. Ah well... either way it's still 300 bucks.

ive ran over several screws before and never noticed it till the tire starts leaking air. most likly u just ran it over. i'm just wondering how the screw could mess the tire up so bad that it can't be repaired with a simple plug?

300...LOL. You're being *****. You can buy a really nice set for 500, which would be 100% better than the stock tires. I sure hope you don't do what I think you're going to do

(hand)

I just called around and I can get it for 250 bucks, but it's through a Ma n' Pa operation, so I'm a little weary. At all the established companies it's still gonna be about 300 bucks.

Sir. SpeedALot, what set are you talking about?

Damn. I just bought 17" Nankang tires. All four were around $280. Not including mounting or anything. Just for the tires. They are badass. No more snow problems. ;)

Manny

i see your from Canada

go to www.tiretrends.ca

and put the info of the tires u want
there cheap and shipping is cheap too

you can get better tires for like 400-500 Canadian

get rid of those crapyear tires

dood screws, they get picked up into tires, no one planted it there

Why dont you go somewhere else and see if they can actually fix the tire, did you ever take into consideration that these guys probably said you need a new tire just to make extra money

Called around and I'm getting the same price everywhere. I am considering changing all 4... any suggestions? I need ones that'll fit 17". The current ones I have are 205/50/17. Does the new ones have to be the EXACT same configuration, or is there some play?

i cant believe that a screw could damage it so bad that a plug wont fix it. unless it tore the side wall or sumthin you should be able to?? (doh)

He said that there was tearing on the inside and wasn't able to repair it. I was driving on it for a bit before I started to notice it lagging. I think he's telling the truth.

As far as getting the Eagle RS-A, I'm convinced that it is a bad tire and I'm paying way too much for it.

I need suggestions people!! Help a brutha out! What tires should I get?

I think they saw you coming. Where is the screw in the tire? If it's on the tread, it can be plugged either inside with a patch plug or an outside plug. If it's on the sidewall, it's not safely repairable.

Yeah, I already got the tire back because I figured that 300 for one tire is ridiculous, especially since that its a bad tire.

The guy there showed me the puncture, and where it wore a hole into the sidewall. So I know he wasn't trying to take me for a ride.

I was like, holy s*** thats expensive and then I realized that you are from canada. sigh. I was about tho s*** myself if that was the price for the M3 tires.

In my opinion, if you are charged more than $100 per tire you are getting ass *****. You should just walk into their business backwards and pull your jeans down. Oh yeah, take one for there team. LOL
