Flames

Anyone else get these? I've popped two that I know of...just because it was dark and I could see the orange flash in the mirror. I'd love to get a picture of it, but it happens so infrequently that it would be impossible. I get backfires all the time, but rarely does it come with a light show. Just wondering if it's common

Yup, Happens just like you say, every now and then, I get the after fire all the time but sometimes a flame too... I was driving it real hard up this canyon at night by my area with a lot of tight turns requiring some aggressive shifting. I had it do it about 4 times, you could see it light up the woods behind me real good on one of them... I wish I could get it on film as well, I'm running a fully catless exhaust...

It's pretty typical on a catless or straight exhaust. Turbos run vastly more rich than NA cars, and sometimes unburnt fuel or vapors can exit into the exhaust and ignite from the heat. If you have a cat, it will typically arrest the flame, but if not, you'll see a nice flame.

Currently running catless DP, catless MP, CAI, FMIC, upgraded CDFP, Forge BPV, and a Cobb AP tune.

I can do it all the time if I run the car hard for a little while. flatshifting makes it happen more often I have found

No we're not starting this. OP you get it? Flame is normal with a boosted car and catless exhaust? Good.
