Hi,

I am new to this forum and just got my '96 Millenia back after a divorce. Have always loved this car and want to get it as close as I can to the condition I bought in in '98. That being said I am looking to do quite a bit.

My mechanic here in Tampa has a '95 I can "part out" for what I want to do. There are a number of things I want to do but I will start slowly.

First, I want to swap the 2 front seats from the parts car. Does anyone know where I can find detailed instructions on how to go about this? Is this something the average Joe can accomplish?

Then I want to swap the entire stock stereo system. The kids blew a few of the speakers, the stereo doesn't light up any more among other issues. Again, are there instructions on this and is this something a weekend warrior can accomplish?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

As far as the radio goes you have to get the aftermarket wiring harness thats makes the impedance match up or else an aftermarket wont have sound. Thats if you have the bose system.

yes sir to both questions... i changed the stereo on my millenia and though it was hard at first but its really a simple thing.
you have to follow the same instructions as in this video. except that the millenia has two tabs on either side of the radio. Remove thenm with a small screwdriver. That will expose the holes to remove the radio. Also the millenia has four on each side not two like the ford in the video has so you have to have two sets of those radio removal keys.

now the seat should be pretty easy also. B4 unbolting anything reach under the seat and disconnect the harness for the heated seats then just unbolt all the screws that hold the seat down to the car which should be 4 IIRC.

htownmillie is correct but it goes for all millys but the replacement of the bose system for an aftermarket is PITA compared to the non bose.
here is my installation of my after market HU, i had the non-bose system.
