All I can say was...wow!
I've only done autox twice, and that was like 5 years ago, in my old '01 Audi S4. I didn't do so well, not competitive times at all. I ended up quitting.
So for this one with my stock '08 MS3 GT I qualified again as a novice. My only goal for the day was to try not embarrassing myself. Well, I ended up just 1 sec from my class leader (D stock) while running OEM tires (class leader wasn't). I was given a lot of kudos from my colleagues. More important than doing well was that I had a blast. I improved every run, and it seemed that the car had no limits on that course. I feel that this car is not only good overall, but good for beginners as well. I felt very confident in the end.
Also, I believe that the fastest time on the course for the day for a real car was a Mazda RX-8.
