I finally got my exhaust finished. The shop had to weld on a 6 inch stainless steel extention and a new hanger on the frame. Here are all the pics I have of it:

that's good it all worked out for you...how much it cost you to get the addition made?

Did you have it to move the muffler away from the bumper? B/C it looks like you kinda melted the skirt?

other than that it looks good

looks good, how do you like the sounds, i think your tip is a lil smaller then mine. what was the total cost.

looks good. did you buy a p5 system, thus requiring the 6" addition i'm guessing?

I got the exhaust on Ebay for $280 shipped but it was for the P5, but the guy I baught it from is suppose to send me $25 back cuz it didn't fit. And the extension was $160, it would've only been $100 but instead of cutting the JIC hanger off the canister he welded another hanger on the frame and charged me for another hour of work. So the total for the exhaust right now is $440 but if the guy sends me $25 back then it'll be $415. It sounds great, a nice low rumble up to around 3-4k rpm then the sound of the intake really overpowers the sound of the exhaust. And when decelerating from 4k rpms it is REALLY loud.

SpicyRay-I painted the calipers with Dupli-Color Metalcast Yellow which is suppose to look anodized. I personally think it looks awesome.

paulmp3-The tip is a little smaller than 3 inches. But the piping is still 60mm which is the same for both the P5 and sedan JIC exhausts so no power is being lost.

I just got back from work and on the way home I raced this nasty S2000 with a unpainted bodykit and some cheap-ass exhaust that sounded like s***. Anyways, we raced twice from a stop. I beat him both times by around 1/2 a car. It sounded like his gears were really short cuz he was shifting often. Then we raced from a 70 mph roll and he beat me by like 3 cars to 110.

JUST MY LUCK

Yellowspeed, im the guy who bid you up to 280 at the last minute lol. I didn't end up buying it because the guy who was selling the exhaust that didnt speak english so well, and i wasn't convinced it was for a protege5 (my car). I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS EXHAUST, i was afraid it wouldnt fit and i would have to mod it like you did.
0h well, if I would have bought this then it would have been made for a regular protege. Im glad you like it! I guess i'll have to pay full price for one now!

Unwritten04-It's definetly paying full price for. I love the sound and attention it brings. The only thing I'm dissaoppinted about is that the muffler I have is for the P5 so the tip is 10mm smaller. But I think it looks just right for the car.
