I would say that if in fact the engineers went to the trouble to design and test the part that it would in fact have to be beneficial.
The two times I was actually at the dealer they had a few pages from a Mazda magazine posted on the wall with an artist sketch of the car and some accompanying info about the design etc. It was turbo-charged, even though the MP3 was not. Heck the MSP's that were handed to the press in late 02 around October had hard-pipes! Pre-release of course.
Anyway the 03/MP3 wing was designed to add proper downforce to the car. I am fairly certain the 03.5 wings were not, not to pick on the 03.5
This mentions the Prototype. I will see if I can find the exact Mazda article.

Mazda always seems to get up on the edge of greatness just to fall off
i like it.lol..and of course they're not gonna produce that red concept, it would cost more out of their pocket.
