Finally....It has Arrived!

Since wanting an Aquatic Blue Touring 5 speed in August, I finally took delivery on my 2012 today. Originally intended to go a dealership in New Jersey, it was diverted to it's home here in the southwest. The Blue was the ONLY color that I never saw at the dealer so I was crossing my fingers it impressed in person. And it truly does.

Funny, with the long wait, the dealer got to know me pretty well and I took at LEAST 3 test drives (to have the "feel" of ownership) during the long wait.

Just wanted to share the excitement here in my first post written with my first Mazda. NOW, I am a member and THANKS to all those who gave their experience and wisdom along the way while deciding. Zoom Zoom!

Yeah the wait tested my patience. And I KNEW that it had to be 5 speed and the pretty color of Blue. That color looks loads better in person than on the Mazda website.

Congrats on the new 2!!

I'm jealous. I bought the Aquatic Blue MT Sport model, at the time I thought about getting the touring model, but was too cheap to spend the extra $$$. On top of that there wasn't a MT Touring edition in a 200 mile radius when I bought my 2 back in June (I didn't have any interest an AT). Looking back now, wish I had spent the extra dollars & held out for the Touring model. Was too set on going as cheap as I could and getting my new 2 now!! The Cruise Control would have been reeeeeeal nice.

Aquatic Blue FTW! When I first saw it I honestly didn't like it very much. Now I love the color! I would love to have that sexy blue the Skyactiv 3 comes in though!

Aquatic Blue looks nothing like on the Web site or brochures...and it's one of those colors that changes pretty drastically based on the light:

Well said. Sometimes it looks almost teal. Sometimes it looks dark blue.

This is unrelated, but I always think it's really funny that people blur out their license plate number on web photos. Not to be a hater, because I obviously drive one, but I doubt that the career criminal with a connection at the MVA is trolling the Mazda 2 section for his next big score.

I'm a Title Clerk for a major bank actually. Not that I would ever look up someone's plate, just thought it was funny you made that comment, lol.

That is awful nice of you to say! I do REALLY REALLY believe that the biggest thing I like about the touring is the spoiler. It is the one thing noticeable to the exterior that let you know the difference. Aside from that the wheels are cool but you cannot tell the difference once you rolling. As far as the interior creature features, I probably will not end up using the cruise unless I go on a trip (very Rare) and the computer that tells the mpgs etc. is nice buuuuuuuut, I can check my mileage each fill up.

Once of the MAIN reasons I ordered is because I didn't want it to be amongst the dealer inventory and be driven by Joe Public. But "HEY" Garf you have one coolest looking cars and a fantastic unique color. And to boot it is almost like a well kept secret because I hardly ever see another on the road.
