I am happy to say that I have a solution for those who want to play their Ipod through the Bose radio and want to know what they are listening to. Know you can pick your playlist and choose the tune you want to hear. This is what you do.

If you want to use the Mazda Ipod adapter and let the Ipod have complete control of your Bose audio, this is what you do.

1. Turn the radio on with the Ipod connected.
2. Keep it on FM1. Ipod will show the Mazda logo and the "OK to Disconnect"
3. With the logo showing, reset the Ipod by pressing the Menu and center button at the same time.
4. When the Ipod is reset, you will see your Ipod menu instead of the Mazda logo..
5. Now, press the Mode on the Bose to get to the EX1 . Now you have your Ipod controlling the Bose.

This works for me and I could not be any happier.

Hi Etop,
I have tried with the audio-link from www.audio-link.eu - no success; if I jump to the next playlist by pressing the "next CD" button of the radio, the display of the ipod switches to "ok to disconnect". I have a bose modular radio system (1/2006) and an IpOD Video 5.5G 80GB SW version 1.2.3. What are your exactly components?

best regards

I am using the dealer installed Mazda Ipod adapter and a 60 Gig Video Ipod. This also allows the Ipod to charge while playing. Only downside is that you always have to reset the Ipod when starting the CX.
