2011 CX-9 GT FWD
Since starting work at a Mazda/Nissan/Ford/Hyundai dealer in July, I've sold a lot of Mazda's and get to experience them daily. A great thing, as my history has been nothing but GM after GM. In the first week I got to drive a new CX-9 GT AWD on a little trip, and as happens, it stuck with me. I wanted one, and loved the package, quality, performance and style. It just checks every box, and is smile inducing to drive.

My latest vehicle was a 2009 Chevy Avalanche Z71 I bought this past February in snow season, loved, but was bulky. Was looking at 2010 CX-9 GT's because of the extra dealer cash and low financing, but in the end as an employee at just the right time, a 2011 with special financing worked out the same--and I could go a year newer, and get exactly what I wanted.

Tired of white, found a 2011 CX-9 GT FWD in Liquid Silver/Black for myself (had to get it from another dealer in NC--fun roadtrip with a friend), loaded with all the goodies I'd otherwise add. Moonroof/Bose and Nav, but then also the Tow Prep, Remote Start, Roof Rack, Moonroof Deflector, Splash Guards and Rear Bumper Step Plate--all port installed, no after the fact.

LOVE it. Always loved everything about the way the CX-9 GT (with 20" wheels, specifically, just the best combo IMHO) felt, and the new style 2011 wheels are a favorite, as is the +1mpg city and +2mpg highway mileage improvements for 2011. Still not sure how that was improved, but doing well so far, getting about 22.7 on the first roadtrip from NC back to DE with no miles.

Big, comfy, high end luxury and quality, and absolutely fun to drive. I can never get totally comfortable in most cars, and this is just right--so glad I did the CX-9, and not go down in size to a new Mazda 6 (another awesome vehicle) as I had pondered.

Happy to finally be a zoom-zoomer myself, not just selling them;)

Next step...3M clear bra being installed this weekend (have to, past 2 vehicles have had it too) and Weathertech FloorLiners, if only I could get them quicker than quick. Both are invaluable.

Poor thing already got snowed on for the first time. Oh, new vehicle in the winter, what a combo--LOVE the Liquid Silver. It looks terrific and should be such a pleasure for maintenance and upkeep.

Get rid of these lousy tires, and you will love your CX9 even more ....
Welcome.

Haven't had a complaint about the tires yet...I knew going in "about them", but other than noise once in a while, we don't have many serious complaints in service about the tires either...just accepted that there are better options when the time comes. Ride perfectly, handle crisp and darn quiet so far, for me.

Officially picked up my CX-9 from myself on a Saturday, it poured on the way home. Not bad. Then by the 1st week, snowed and has been covered in that filth ever since. Still no wash time or warm enough temps. It's looking pretty desperate, though a friend thought it looked so cool and nordic all filthed up when I pulled in to pick her up. Overdue for a wash, waiting for my Weathertech liners to arrive, and then also proper paint sealant, etc.

3M clear bra was installed Sunday--amazing as always. Wrapped the front, the hood, the mirrors and even the chrome around the smiley face grille.

iPod connector installed at my dealer Friday. Absolutely incredible. Instructions say to go to the glovebox, I wanted it elsewhere and one of our techs got it routed into the center console, coming out just below the aux input & power port, with a lot of cable slack. I can have the iPod control but still also use my phone beside me on the console--and it sounds terrific. Wish it were standard, or just USB that acted the same.

Otherwise, 1300 miles already and LOVE it.

Detail guys cleaned it for me yesterday, just in prep for tonight & tomorrow's snow storm. Had to take pictures again while I could...such a looker when clean. LOVE the Liquid Silver, and the new wheels, more and more. Merry Christmas!
