Finally got my MSP

Well after 6 months of waiting I finally have my MSP, I picked it up last night, was it worth the wait??? HELL YA!! I love this thing. I was a little concerned with some of the reviews I have seen lately in magazines about turbo lag, slow times etc... this car is too fast for me already so I dont consider it an issue:p My dealership did not do the TSB for the torque steer though, or at least I dont think because that wheel was ripped from my hands a few times already, guess I better hold on tighter :D

The stereo stock setup did not sound the best but once I adjusted it the thing it sounds pretty good, I can't believe how much bass that little 8" sub pushes, it pumps pretty good. It should sound even better once I put my 2 12"s in there, but I have to buy a new box because of all the space the kenwood system takes up under the trunk.

Handling is amazing, I have a Sunfire GT that has Koni struts set to mazimum stifness, Eibach sportlines, sway bars and 17" tires and that thing does not hold as good as the MSP. As far as speed, braking, accleration, etc.. from the GT to the MSP  .... well there is no comparison, the MSP kills it :)

Now I know why AGR#7 is always saying I love my MazdaSpeed ;)

Who was the other guy that picked up their MSP at Ontario Mazda in Mississauga last night? you picked yours up just before I did.

What TSB on the torque steer ? Is this the new alingment one ? or another one

Tekkie..
Congratulations!! Today is a AWESOME day to cruise around. Hope you enjoy it before the rain and grey weather hits us again tommorrow and for the rest of the week.

You'll need to play around with the kenwood deck and pre-set how you like to listen to music. Trust me, it will sound awesome once everything is to your desire. It took me a while to find my likings. After 4 months of ownership now, i don't find the 8" enough. Sometimes i do wish i had 2 more 10's in the trunk.

The first time i felt torque steer, it scared me! :) You better be prepared for it while turning. 2 hands is a MUST!
ENJOY! :)

Have there been any TSB on the Mazdaspeed Protege? I need a site that has them as I can print them out and take the car down to the dealership.

Stop and floor it as you shift into gear. The wheel will jerk to the side. Welcome to torque steer. :D
