Looks great man! I have 5% all the way around with a 5% Strip on the windshield. I've had it since I got the car in Oct. 06 and I just got a written warning for it last week....lol. I'm hooked up with the cops here so I'm not going to get in trouble again but it just sucks that a cop in a speed trap followed me to pull me over for just tint...lol.

I had 35% up front and 15% in the back on my old car, and it looked awesome. This time around I'm going to do 20% all the way around. Still waiting on the time to get it does, since me and my friend are going to be doing it. It's just gotta die down at his shop, so I can get my car in there.

Mind if I ask how much this set you back? I called a couple of local dealers and asked for price quotes on their two highest grades of tint and got prices between 400 and 450. I'm wondering how this stacks up to others.

Tint should cost no more than $200~$250. I use a local shop that cuts their tint with a CAD printer after looking up the template on a computer. Comes out mint, and used to run me about $150 for an entire car (a few years ago).

Interesting to see such a huge price difference. I know these folks are cutting tint on a vinyl printer as well. Did your dealer offer more than one grade of tint? The places I spoke with offered as many at 6. The most expensive was a ceramic coated tint instead of a metallic that I was "told" didnt effect reception on equipment like GPS units.

Depends what brand ceramic. The only one that I've heard thats actually conductive is Huper Optik. The other ceramics don't interfere. I chose to go with suntek carbon. Its a carbon dye with lifetime fading and discolor warranty.

my dealership is the biggest rip off (Tustin MAzda). They charge $350 for a tint job.

i called my local tint shop and they charged me $140.

Also i tried buying a Mazdaspeed CAI from the dealer and it would cost me $420.

Whatever (bird)

Maybe you should try Browning in Cerritos? That's were I bought my MSP3 GT and they seemed really helpful. They said I can get 20% because I was an internet customer but that might not apply for you.

Were did you get that quote for $140? I called a couple places and they all quoted me $250-$300. "Top of the line", Life time warranty as well.

I live in Westminster and work in Aliso Viejo.

I got 20% all around metallic film w/ a 3 year warentee (b/c it's illegal) and it cost $150 otd. I didnt want to go w/ a dyed film b/c they turn purple over time and didnt want to have to deal with replacing it, and my metallic film doesn't effect my radar detector enough to justify the extra cost of ceramic coated films.

My tint cost me $240. Lifetime warrant against any discoloration, scratches, peeling etc.. Quality is everything when purchasing stuff for the car or house. :D
