Very nice! I just finished my interior too. I decided to do a black/red combo. Much better than the silver that comes stock.

nice! How did you end up getting A/C controls out?
i unhooked the metal wires from under the dash. It def wasn't the easiest thing to do lol

Thats a lof of work for some knobs. Do you have a before pic so I can know what it looked like? I cant appreciate the difference cause it looks stock. But from what I am getting, that is what you were going for. So congrats. lol.

Just painted it.I figured I really don't touch my A/C too much so not much wear and tear.Don.t have a before pic.Just imagine every piece of interior black.I think most pieces are silver and tan in my car.I will be doing the headliner and all.

Yeah getting this piece out isn't easy for sure! I had to have a buddy of mine that knows more about all of those controls help me so I didn't mess anything up. Def worth paying to have done to avoid any headache if you have the greenback$ for the work. I attached a stock shifter picture for reference. RIP silver unpleasantness!

I just painted mine too BTW... Like you said boneman, I feel like I don't touch that area enough to worry.

If anyone is interested in doing this here's a little tip to make life easier .Once you get the glovebox out and radio out and center console out...unscrew the 2 screws holding A/C unit in.Then get on your back and look under the dash and follow the yellow and blue "wires" on either side of A/C unit to under the dash on both sides. You will see where they end at a plastic piece held on by 2 screws and the "wire" wrapped around plastic peg.Push the retaining nub down on the little plastic piece and slide the wire loop off. Then remove 2 screws. This allows you to pull A/C controls out enough to get to the 4 screws that holds faceplate on.Paint or cover or whatever and your done. A long flexible extension with phillips head and/or finger wrenches with a phillips is/are a must!

Didn't even think about shifter .That looks alot better.Yes RIP the silver demon lol

What kind of paint did you use. I am bored and want to do something this weekend. So doing the center console would be a good idea to paint match to the rest of the car. I have no idea why they would do everything in black and leave one portion bad silver.
