What an incredible band! After 30+ years, they still have it!

I always thought the singer to Rush was a chick. Then my friend, who is somewhat better versed in classic rock, gave me a blank stare followed by "Uh....dude....it's a guy."

Neil Pert is the best rock-n-roll drummer ever.(thumb)
It might be a strong argument between Neil Peart and Carl Palmer, actually! Peart attributes Carl Palmer as one of his influences.

Couldn't Agree More

Rush is flat incredible. And Natey, you're totally correct: Neil Peart is the greatest rock drummer/percussionist that ever was, ever, and probably will never be beaten. Never. His precision and complexity is beyond living comprehension, and every concert Ive ever seen of his performances have left me in total, staggering awe. And I was a drummer for 15 years, so I know a little about it.

Oh man, if only I had been old enough to see one of their shows back in the 70s when they were younger-- Just consider how furious their shows are now, while theyre in their 40s/50s, and then think about what they must have been like in their 20s HOLY LIVING s***.

Indeed; RUSH is incredible! Not being a musician myself; I certainly am no expert. I did see ELP in 1974 during the 'Brain Salad Surgery' tour, and I will never forget it. Carl Palmer is, and was amazing! RUSH really didn't get going until about 1974. Neil Peart does one hell of an incredible solo on this DVD. I doubt neither he nor Carl Palmer has lost much in the past 20 some odd years. They are both fabulous drummers.

Giddy Up!! Finished watching it, and started watching the documentary DVD. Incredible!! What a package!!! And; here's the b**** of it! They are going to be in Nashville next Wednesday night on their 30th anniversary tour. Only 200 miles away, but I won't be able to make it. s***!

wasn't there some conspiracy theory involving rush and the Canadian Government?(boom03)

I am seeing them July 29th at the sound advice ampitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL. So if anyone is interested in seeing em that is down here you should definitely go, they really are amazing. First song I ever heard from them was Tom Sawyer and I have loved them ever since.

I have half a mind to take off 1/2 day next Wednesday, and driving over to Nashville for that concert!
