My trip computer is fairly accurate, I get anywhere from 32 or 33 in hard driving to mid-upper 40's with careful driving and it usually comes close to matching my manual calculations. One thing I have learned about my car is that you can still get around 2 gallons in after the pump clicks (hasn't hurt the car yet..)
