Fiber images CF hood

Does anyone have any pics of this hood? I want to see if the ducting and all is under there and maybe see how good the hood actually is. Are the edges rolled and is there supports under it like a stock hood? It's got to be better then the heavy ass hood we have now.

For 800 bucks, it better be all that. My VIS CF EVO hood I had on my MP3 was build well underneath and had rolled edges, but it cracked around the openings, which a stock hood wouldn't because of no openings.

I haven't seen anyone with this hood. I know that a couple of folks have ordered them, but have not yet recived them. There is a question as to whether Fiber Images has closed up shop or not.

The hood looks exactly like the stock hood except that it is made of carbon fiber. The ducting is transferred from the stock hood and attached to the Fiber Images hood. I believe the ducting is part of the reason why the hood is so heavy. I was very interested in this hood until I realized that the ducting would need to be transferred over - kind of takes alot of the weight savings out of the equation. I was going to wait until there was a fmic option to maximize the weight savings (no ducting). RPM (who sells the hood and complete kit) will let folks know if Fiber Images is defunct or in business....makes me nervous when a shop that actually sells their products cannot get in touch with Fiber Images. I'll post again if I hear anything.

The ducting is just plastic though isn't it? How can that add all that damn weight to the hood? That sucks about the hood, I would really like to get one......I guess I'll wait. Thanks for the info.

Saturday, and I got money burning a hole in my pocket. I need to put some stuff on it, but can't figure out what to do first. I want the full exhaust, FMIC and intake but I can't get all that yet because all of it isn't out yet. I was looking at getting a hood to help lighten the car, but I guess that might take a while now.

I like having a big car, it fits my big ass much better......but I miss the MP3 a lil.
