Fellow Albuquerque MS3 Owners

Hey whats up ? I live here in the Duke City. I have owned my MS3 for 2 weeks. Hey by any chance is your car red?

No I have a black Mica I have not seen a red one on the road yet. Have you done any mods yet? I am contemplating on purchasing the CAI for the vehicle but not sure if I should wait to see if any problems arise in the long run.

Hey whats up? I think there r 2 other reds besides mine. No mods yet. Looking at the Cold Air Intake and maybe exhaust and maybe a set of rims. How many miles on your car? Do u live on the Westside?

No I live in the NE Heights by I-25 and San Mateo area. I am also considereing the CAI for now. Maybe later on looking into a front mount intercooler if their is significant HP increase.

Hey whats up? I live by the PIT. Did u get your car from Garcia Mazda? I work for Garcia Honda. I plan on getting the CAI real soon....like in a couple of weeks after I return from Honda Training Center. I will install it myself. I wanted to put some gauges in it. At least a boost gauge. A friend of mine wanted me to ask u if u r in the military? He claims to have talked to a person on Thursday morning who owns a black mica MS3 who was wearing military(camo) clothes.

Yes I did. Got a sweet deal, siince I work for the company. So tempeted to get a boost gauge hooked up.

I am looking at a turbo timer and a boost gauge to help prevent turbine failure due to turning off hot turbo without cooling it first.

Those gauges look nice! Do you know if they are reliable? I use to have a civic and installed apexi v-tec controller and a tachometer for my japan spec integra motor with nitrous. I did not do the initial motorswap but helped out on friends motor swaps and installed all headers exhaust and cams on the integra motor. I had an older autometer nitrouse gauge but it was not electric and was a pain to hook up.

Yes they are good gauges. Many of the guys on the forum r using them. I plan on using an electronic boost gauge. Less needle fluctuation. My other 2 gauges r gonna probably be voltmeter and oil pressure. A guy I work with has a 95 Civic hatchback with an H22 in it. He wants to race me so bad

I will have to decide what to get first. I told myself that I would not go crazy with this vehicle. I was driving a 1995 interas gsr with headers and intake before trading it in on this car. I loved that car, was not the fastest car but it ran like a champ and the motor pulled stronger than my other car Acura RSX tpye s. The integra had 145000 and the rsx has 35000. I like the RSX but it is not an integra! I just want to do perfromance parts on this car and thats it. I loved my civic but I could not keep that thing down in the front. It had around 250 HP on the bottle but with no LSC, it had major torque steer and wheel hop. Tell your friend good luck beating this car especially if the HP and Torque gains are accurate with the CAI.
I am hoping that in a year they come out with a cheaper piggyback system that will allow you to tune this car a little better IE: fuel/ratio this thing runs too rich for me. Do you know since this motor is one of the first to use this much fuel pressure 1600 lbs, that if leaning the car out to a better stoichiometric ratio of 11:1 would be ok for this engine. I want to increase the performance but not on the engines reliability.

Its the weekend and I do not have to think? I love that. I am finishing up my accounting degree here at UNM and I hate studying. The new car was part of my graduation present. I have been going to school for over 10 years now. I got side tracked with my car thing in 1998 when I moved here and went crazy with it, it was fun but the fun ends some time!

Sweet good carrer choice. This is my first turbo car also. Have an old hot rod truck 63 Chevy Stepside Shortbed. 462 BB.....really fast. Hey did u get your ECU updated? I took mine to the dealer and the tech said there was an update. He did not say what is was supposed to do. He just said it was either to prevent false CELS or the over rich condition. I am still getting the black soot in the tail pipe. Maybe the CAI will help this. Kudos have a great weekend.
