Fed a BS Line by a dealership?

Mazda Speed 2003
I Think I've learned my lesson, learn about a dealerships service history before buying there, and don't listen to sales people
Originally got my Orange MSP with 104km on it...was told that 30 km were put on the car when driving it to this dealership....
So I asked 2 questions...
1. Why was it driven here?!! (some dumbshit probably drove it over, who knows how they drove it)
2. what about the 74km before that?
The first question he brushed over, but the second one he fed me a line that I beleaved (being the stupid fool I am) that the first 74 km on the car was done by Mazda itself to break in the Turbo and test the car and all MSP come with between 74-100 km brand new...
6 months later I changed dealerships and found a new MSP with 11 km on it...
So what kind of BS lines have the dealerships fed people in general about their cars?
Just interested in how many entertaining storys there are out there...

What else is new. When did dealerships ever know about any cars they sold. The majority of people who work at dealerships are not car enthusiasts for that brand. They jump around to other dealerships.

Thats the dealership for you lol! When I bought mine it only had 36 miles on it.

Haven't really been fed any bs from the dealer, because I know more than them about my car, and they know I know more. FWIW I think my car had 11 miles on it when I got it.

Theory #1 Most Mazda vehicles come to the dealer with anywhere between 3-10 miles on them. The Mazdaspeed's were no exception. The Pre-delivery inspection process on the Speed's were a lot more in depth than a regular "PDI" since these vehicles needed to be aligned at the dealer as well as many other things. That still wouldn't add that many miles.

Theory #2 The vehicle could have also been dealer traded from anouther dealership so look at your window sticker and see if the name of the dealer it was originally shipped to is the one you bought it at.

Theory #3 I may be wrong, but I believe the orange Speed's were released first and the sales people would have driven the first one dropped. Sounds to me like what happened, but it's just a theory. Cross your fingers and hope that they didn't beat the s*** out of it. On second thought, uncross your finger cuz you know they did. Sorry.

True, most own a different make not to mention model than that of the cars they sell. They tell people what they want to hear, except of course, THE TRUTH!!
