Wow this is great. It is good to see that alot of people enjoy Tool. I have seen them 6 times and they seem to get better and better. You really need to see them in concert to really appreciate them fully, its an unbelieveable experience...

Tool, Sublime, 311, Eek-A-Mouse are my faves..

Not many people know who Eek-A-Mouse is. If you like roots reggae check out. Eek-A-Mouse Check himout you'll be happy you did..

but those are only the bands, I could write a whole page for my favorite solo artists

All-time favorite since I was about three is the Beatles.

Then there is the revolving favorite band of the moment whose CD spends the most time in the stereo, which recently has included:

Nirvana
Southern Culture on the Skids
Dick Dale and the Del-tones
Dixie Chicks
Cake

My faves....

Iron Maiden
Anthrax
Metallica
Disturbed
Godsmack
Pink Floyd
The Doors
Lynyrd Skynyrd

Not necessarily on my top faves list but I saw someone mention Mushroomhead. I am really diggin' their latest CD XIII. Not a bad song on it. I have been listening to it steady for a week now.

I love too many bands & styles of music to name just one. My current favorites:

Lacuna Coil
A Perfect Circle
AC/DC
BT
Enigma

I never know what to listen to...which is why Sirius satellite radio has been one of the BEST purchases I've ever made.

Hey kooldino, your 'random techno groups' are also good stuff. Antiloop is pretty good, but Scooter is awesome.

DAYUM!!! I've only heard one Lacuna Coil song, but I really liked it. They're playing a show in my area real soon and it's 4$ a ticket!!! I am sooooo there. Another good band is Kidney Thieves. Check them out if you can...Free Dominguez is gorgeous! I saw them open for KMFDM a year ago, and they were awesome.

Also...if you like Enigma, check out Delerium...another one of my faves.

1.Vast
2.Incubus (They've gone done from #1 after their last cd S.C.I.E.N.C.E. was the best)
3.A Perfect Circle
4.Foo Fighters
5.Thrice
6.311

Tool would have gone in #3 but at one of their concerts I was at they had a giant pentragram (sign of satan) come down while performing. When it comes to music I get a little weirded out by religious messages in the music but I let it go until I see the sign of satan then I back away lol, but I still like maynard and a perfect circle hasnt had any pentragrams that I know of :)

Depends on when you saw them...It may have actually be a seven or nine pointed star, like they've been using on the last tour or two, when I saw them.

Of course, they did show something with a pentagram once, but you must remember that the pentacle, or five pointed star, is solely an occultist (not satanist)*symbol*. It has been defamed and demonized in such a way by those that don't know better. I mean...if a christian is wearing a pentacle, it's strange...but other than that, it's only a symbol of faith. At least they believe in something! :D

You also have to take everything musicians say with a grain of salt. Take NIN's "heresy" for instance. Trent was very agree at the time, and his feelings of anger were squarely pointed at a so-called saviour figure. Now...I'm a christian, and I love that song...but it's hard to listen to. Same thing with Judith, by APC. I understand that's how Maynard is, and I just have to understand his point of view. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it! :D

Sorry for the thread jack...but I'd hate to see somebody give up on Tool just because of Maynard's silliness!

NFG was good...until they turned in Dashboard Confessional and the whole host of other whiney EMO crap that's on MTV now...

And don't get me started on no talent hack like the STrokes, Whitestripes and the Vines.

Gimme some Black Flag, DKM, Flogging Molly, the Ramones...even the Donnas <~~drool

That's my kinda punk!

Make Yourself was totally the best CD.

I forgot to mention that Incubus, Foo Fighters, At the Drive-In, and The Mars Volta need to be added to my list.

yeah..i don't **** around with music, don't hate on the strokes though, they are good news..the rest sucks..DKM is alright, very misunderstood and most don't know their orginal roots, since they are a right brigade band..eh whatever..im more into like..circle jerks, cro-mags, the bruisers, oxblood, negative approach, gbh, madball and those jams..nyhc kid..
