Hey guys,

heres some of the progress i did today while i was back home in orlando. the false floor will raise the hatch area up about 5.5 inches. i plan on making a door where the amps are and hinge the side pieces to the left and right of the box to make little storage compartments. let me know what you guys think

peace

Looks good ... but, why that connection strip that the subs wires go into? Why not just wire them straight to the amp -- its a more efficient way of doing it?

will the carpeting match the interior?
i think im gonna do some navy blue vinyl or black vinyl to wrap up the sub box and everything. . . still really havent' decided on what fabric to use. . i don't want to do some regular carpet. ...

musy have cost u alota chaching
probably about 30 usd total for the slab of mdf and some liquid nails and finishing screws. . . .its a lot for my poor ass right now lol. the most expensive part will probably be whatever i choose to wrap this thing in.

the way its set up i can easily break it down and pull out the sub box leavin the amp rack behind to get to my spare tire access (i wanted to keep it just in case)

Hey, Very nice and clean set up. I give you props on it, stealthy looking. Looks great (headbang). I have only one woofer, 1F cap, and a 400 watt amp in the rear which is fine for me. Oh also, what everyone should have, a fire extinguisher. Came in handy one time I had a car fire with another car.

(poke) Oh do your amps heat up at all? Just wondering cuz you have them enclosed.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Do you have that amp enclosure vented at all?

Nice, clean setup, man! How much weight does that false floor rig add?

That looks very HOT....I wasn't expecting it to look that OEM!

Maybe for cooling some CPU fans would work?

Hows the sound?

yea im gonna put some 92mm fans that i had on my old amp rack its just that i can't put them in until i get back up to gainesville since that's where it is (i built this @ my parents house in orlando, i wish i had a garage to do work up at school) i figure i'd use a hole saw and go to work and have one fan exahusting and intaking on either side of the amp rack as there is enough room for air to flow though (ill have to break out the digi thermometer to make sure of it)
