Falken Ziex 512

Was wondering what PSI u guys run these at? I'm at 38 PSI and it still looks a little flat.

Tread seems to be evenly worn (4K miles now), except the fronts where the outer edges show a slight increase in wear because I corner fast quite often (so that's expected) :)

I don't have the Ziex 512's but i'm running 215/40/17's and they seem the best at 34psi all around. I've tried 40 psi just to see what it was like and it was hella loud and super stiff. At 34 they're quiet as hell and ride like a buick compared to dunlops.

Thanks. Mine are 205/50/16's. 38 PSI is still fine for me maybe because of the taller profile. I might even goto 40 just to see how it feels.

I don't know that PSI mine are at, but I got them on yesterday. the ride is so much smoother and they got better grip on corners than the last ones I had. this morning I took it to about 105 MPH and had no problem with vibrations or anything, and like I said smooth ride.

here are the pics...

^^don't u have a tire guge on utr glovebox?

i have my 18's set on 38 psi cold, on long drives it jumps to 40, ride isn't too bad

get a new one then, they cost 99 cents on discount, and it's essential IMO, specially with tuner wheels

Niiice :D

Yep. Get a guage and play around with the PSI.

how would that help, traction?

Since there is no "golden number" when it comes to PSI, you can play around with it to change the way it rides (to a certain extent). U can ride on low PSI for a soft ride, but you would loose some feedback when you are going on fast corners because the sidewall flexes more. If you auto-x with a low PSI, your tire edges are gonna get torn bad.

High PSI gives a more stiff ride, but should be better for high speed cornering.

what's the highest you can go?

The highest will be the number marked on the sidewall. Max tire pressure. BUT make sure you stay about 10 PSI lower than that number because when you drive, tires heat up and the air inside expands when it's heated (PSI increases a little)

yep, but some new tires state the recomended cold psi, i donnu if teh falkens do

I purchased these tires last week...great tires, except they seem to follow the rain groves on the freeway...making the car tend to wonder a bit..anyone else with get this? Not horrible, but kind of annoying...I running 33psi front and 30 psi rear...
