i run these exclusively on most of my cars due to all the reasons stated above. I went through 3-4 sets of these on my corolla, 2 sets at 225/40-18 and 2 sets at 225/50-16 they handle great, even at the limit. Very predictable swing and recovery from the rear end.
I went through 2 sets on my Impreza, again great all season tire, coupled with AWD it was a really awesome experience.
On the Mazda2, i went through 1 set 205/50-15, much better than the stock Toyos, grip well even with 20-30% tread, at which point the stock toyos are junk. Per the Falken website, anything over a 40 series tire is a 40,000 mile warranty, I ran mine bald in about 25,000 miles, no track days but extremely hard daily driving. On and off ramps taken at the limit and have never given me any grief.
Even on wet pavement and raining conditions these things rate very well. When these were on tire rack, wet and dry traction were only about 0.5 rating apart which is why i chose the tire and have proven myself countless times.
The newest set of tires that I've gotten into at the Hankook Ventus Concept II 205/50-15, I've had them on for about 500 miles and dry traction is amazing, and the tire is quiet, and doesn't squeal into turns like the Falkens do. I haven't gotten to their breaking point yet and have been pushing them very hard.
I chose the Hankook because it had a 500 tread rating where the falkens only had a 280 or something and the Hankook were cheaper by about 10-15 per tire. I got the Hankooks for $53 a piece, the falkens would have been about $65. Either way, the falkens are great tires and you won't be disappointed in them.
