Factory radio turn on and off button problem

Hi! (dunno)
I just put an amp in my P5. I connected to the stock stereo with two harness'. Every thing works great except the push on and off button. My radio is always on. Maybe when I took it out I messed up the button? I followed all the pin connection from this forum. Has anybody had problem like this? Any ideas?

my on off button is hard to turn off and on as well. I didnt add a new amp or anything. When i turn it on I just hit the FM buttom or CD ya know. I might take it in before the warranty is up.

I never heard of this problem before......but then again I NEVER trun off my radio/cd player....why bother?

My wife has this little O.C.D problem where the radio must be off before she shuts the car down. Thats how I realized the problem. Its not major though, it still works.

(shrug) That's exactly what happened to me. After I added the amp I was not able to turn my radio on with the power button. When I hit FM button my radio started playing and it has been on ever since. It turns off only when I pull out my key and it starts as soon as I put the key in.
maybe I should just get another radio from somebody ?
